Yukiko Makabe, a skilled negotiator with the Metropolitan Police Department's #3 Special Investigation Team, faces a challenging situation when a hijacker seizes control of a bus. Despite her expertise, the negotiation goes awry, leading to her taking full accountability. This setback prompts Yukiko to transfer to the elite interrogation unit, "Kintori," where she must navigate her complicated history with her supervisor, Katsutoshi Kajiyama. Alongside colleagues Susumu Hishimoto, Zenjiro Nakata, and Haruo Koishikawa, Yukiko strives to prove herself in a high-stakes environment fraught with tension and personal challenges.
