Colin Morgan
Colin Morgan, a talented actor hailing from Northern Ireland, has made a significant impact in both television and theatre. He is perhaps best recognized for his portrayal of the iconic Arthurian figure in the BBC fantasy series *Merlin*, which aired from 2008 to 2012. Following this, he took on the role of Leo Elster in the acclaimed series *Humans* from 2015 to 2018, and more recently, he portrayed Billy Clanton in Kenneth Branagh’s *Belfast* in 2021.
Morgan began his journey in the world of theatre, making a notable London debut in 2007 as the lead in DBC Pierre's *Vernon God Little*. His stage career flourished with performances in a variety of productions, including Pedro Almodóvar's *Todo sobre mi madre* (2007), Thomas Babe's *A Prayer for My Daughter* (2008), and Shakespeare’s *The Tempest* (2013). He also delighted audiences in Jez Butterworth's *Mojo* from 2013 to 2014.
Recognized for his burgeoning talent, Screen International hailed Morgan as a "Star of Tomorrow" in July 2008. His work in *Merlin* earned him nominations for Outstanding Actor in a Drama at the Monte Carlo TV Festival Awards for three consecutive years from 2009 to 2011, as well as a nomination for Best Actor in Drama Performance: Male at the National Television Awards in 2013.
